Mythos 5.5, GPT-6.2 and Carbon-H: Leak or Launch?

World of AI's 45-minute roundup is full of possible next-model sightings. The useful way to read it is to separate a label in page code or analytics, a creator's demo, and an officially released model. They are different kinds of evidence. As of 2 November 2026, the headline's Mythos 5.5, Fable 5.5, GPT-6.2 Astra, Gemini 4 Xenon and Carbon-H are not confirmed public releases in the primary model pages checked below. Gemini 4 Carbon is officially announced, but its first access is restricted.

The short answer

Watch the demos for ideas, not a buying decision. Use the official model lists for actual availability, then test an identifiable model on your own work. A hidden string, anonymous checkpoint or impressive clip does not establish the model's identity, price, launch date or repeatable performance.

The Model Status Board

Name in the videoWhat is establishedWhat remains open
Claude Mythos 5.5 and Fable 5.5Anthropic's Mythos page and system-card index document 5.1.The reported page-code reference and demo attribution do not establish a 5.5 release, model ID or access terms.
GPT-6.2 AstraOpenAI's model catalog lists GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 models. The alleged Codex analytics label is not a public GPT-6.2 model ID or an announcement.
Gemini 4 CarbonGoogle announced it on 28 October, with a phased rollout.General access, independent performance on your tasks, and final billing conditions await broader release.
Gemini 4 Xenon and Carbon-HThe video shows reported benchmark or social sightings. Google's Carbon announcement covers Carbon, not these names.Who ran the demos, exact model identity, availability and pricing are unverified.

What the Mythos and Fable Clips Tell Us

The roundup discusses a purported Mythos 5.5 reference on Anthropic's site and then moves through Fable 5.5-labeled Three.js, SVG, voxel and short-film examples. These are useful for seeing the kinds of creative coding tasks people are trying. They cannot support the claim that a particular 5.5 model beat Opus 5.5 without a verified model identifier, shared prompt, identical tool environment and reproducible grading. Anthropic's published 5.1 announcement says Fable 5.1 is generally available while Mythos 5.1 is limited to trusted-access programs. Its system-card list is the better release check than a transient website label.

That distinction matters: Mythos and Fable have historically shared an underlying model with different safeguards, but a possible version string does not tell us whether the next versions share weights or access rules. Do not infer a launch date from the website-code sighting or the creator's timing guess.

GPT-6.2 Astra: An Analytics Label Is Not an API Model

The video describes an apparent GPT-6.2 Astra label in Codex analytics during A/B testing and shows game and benchmark examples attributed to it. Those are claims about a possible internal experiment, not a product specification. The OpenAI public model catalog currently provides actual IDs for GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6.1 Terra, among others; it does not list GPT-6.2 Astra. OpenAI's Astra announcement is the source for what the released Astra does. An unnamed model in a math chart is likewise not proof of a 6.2 checkpoint.

For a coding workflow today, record the exact model ID shown in your account and the bill or usage meter. A benchmark screenshot without those details is a lead to investigate, not a procurement case.

Carbon Is Real; Carbon-H and Xenon Need More Evidence

Google's Carbon launch post describes a model aimed at long-horizon tasks and cybersecurity. It says an initial subset of cyber defenders gets access first, followed by selected Fairwind partners, with developer and consumer availability to come. Google states an introductory launch price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens; that is a vendor price announcement for future access, not evidence that every reader can use the API today.

By contrast, the video's Carbon-H and Xenon material comes from alleged checkpoints and user-shared outputs. Carbon-H should not be treated as a purchasable high-effort tier of Carbon, and Xenon should not be treated as Google's next release, without an official model card or API ID. The Minecraft and 3D clips can inspire test prompts, but they do not control for model attribution, prompt selection, retries, editing or compute budget.

Three Smaller Updates Worth Keeping

UpdatePrimary sourcePractical read
Claude UltraClaude Help CenterAnthropic says Max 20x was renamed Ultra at $200/month on web, with 10x Pro weekly usage for verified accounts. It still has weekly limits, including a separate Fable limit; the name is not an unlimited-use promise.
Mythos safety assessmentAnthropic's incident analysisIt examines Mythos 5 behavior in a cyber evaluation, not Mythos 5.5. Production safeguards were disabled in the studied run, a material qualification for any retelling.
Project SuncatcherGoogle's 30 October updateA prototype satellite's TPU ran an onboard Gemma 4 model and returned a haiku. It is a research milestone, not evidence that orbital AI data centers are already operating commercially.

Other video segments discuss policy changes, game-development restrictions, new model names, developer tools and hardware. The chapter links below preserve the tour. Where the original item is a screenshot, account-specific rollout or social claim rather than an official release, this article does not turn it into a confirmed fact.

A More Useful Test Than a Leak Leaderboard

Save three small tasks now: one coding change with tests, one visual brief with a screenshot rubric, and one long-context task with a verifiable answer. Run them on an available baseline, keeping prompts, tools, time budget and evaluation criteria. When a rumored model actually appears in the vendor's catalog and your account, rerun the same tasks and compare accepted output, total cost, elapsed time and manual corrections. For creative demos, keep the prompt and final artifact, not only a highlight reel. The creator's World of AI Benchmark may be useful for reproducing his tests, but its results remain a creator-run benchmark unless independently checked.

Sources and Limits

Checked 2 November 2026. The World of AI video and attached transcript are the source for the creator's claims and examples; the supplied transcript begins at 04:38, so the opening Mythos passage is represented from the supplied description and chapter list, not a complete text record. Release and access checks use Anthropic's Mythos page, its system-card index, OpenAI's model catalog and Google's Carbon announcement. The verified product and research notes come from Claude's Ultra help article, Anthropic's alignment assessment and Google's Suncatcher update. The creator's X account is a discussion feed, not independent confirmation. Several supplied X post URLs were truncated, so no specific posts were reconstructed or embedded. JQ AI Systems did not independently run these models, reproduce the demos, or verify anonymous benchmark screenshots.

Common questions

Has Anthropic released Claude Mythos 5.5 or Fable 5.5?
Not as of 2 November 2026 in the official model pages checked for this article. Anthropic documents Mythos and Fable 5.1, but the 5.5 names in the video are leak claims, not release announcements.
Is GPT-6.2 Astra available in Codex or the OpenAI API?
OpenAI documents GPT-6 Astra and other GPT-6 and GPT-6.1 models, but no public GPT-6.2 Astra model ID in the official model list checked on 2 November 2026.
Can everyone use Gemini 4 Carbon?
No. Google announced Carbon on 28 October 2026 for an initial subset of cyber defenders and trusted partners, with broader access planned later. Carbon-H and Xenon are not official public releases in the sources checked.
